Serious Assault in Southend on 29th April 2024


Details of Incident

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Southend this morning.

Officers were called to St Marys Court, on Victoria Avenue in Southend shortly before 4am on 29th April following reports of a 19 year old sustaining serious injuries.

The four persons previously arrested in connection with this incident are being bailed with conditions to return to Police Station at a later date.

Two further persons are sought in relation to the crime which is being treated as attempted murder.

The victim has been supported by specialist officers, received significant injuries but it is hoped will make a full recovery but injuries are potentially life-changing.

We would like to encourage anyone driving past or in the area of Victoria Avenue and surrounding streets at around 3.30am to come forwards if they saw two persons both dressed in black or have other information in relation to this crime.
